The Return Of Button Badges

Many years ago, when I was still in school, wearing button badges or pinning them on our bags were way cool. I remember that I was one of the first to have these in my school as I travel a lot during the holidays and customized my own badges in Penang, while my cow town was and still is a bit backward in terms of fashion and trends.

I remember that the larger the button, the cooler is was, and if the badge is of fluorescent colour or if the wordings were written with glitter pens, then You're the coolest!

I remember making vanity and self-ego boosting buttons like "I'm numero uno" or I'm the Best." Of course, I had to have them in large lime and bright yellow buttons, to stand out from the crowd.

After a few years, it was passe to wear them and I kept mine indoors too. But now, I'm glad that wearing button badges is in fashion again!

Now, if I own a
Button Maker, I'd be making large buttons with the words "Visit Cyberpartygal's WebStore", "Cyberpartygal's de Best!" and "I *heart* Cyberpartygal" to be distributed to my buyers.

This is a good marketing technique. Keep spreading the word and people will want to get to know what it's all about!

Crossed Eyed Over Word Press

Well, I've finally bought my own hosting package about six months of contemplation. I'm now hosting my own blogs *yay* but the complication is that I've to learn to use Word Press from scratch. I feel like I'm wasting a lot of time going by trial and error. All my blogs have been powered by Blogger and I do not have complains. If I could I'd like these new blogs to be Blogger powered too but my host told me that I can't publish in Blogger anymore if I were to use Blogger to power my new blogs.

So here I am struggling with my new hosting and all the internal files and Word Press blogs on New Year's Eve. The codes are so complex. I sure miss the straightforward Blogger codes *sigh*

Somebody, please help me with these!

Moving to Boise, Idaho?

Many people are relocating their families to Boise, Idaho each year maybe because of work purposes or because they are seeking a change of environment. Boise is a city that can offer people a quality of life that bustling cities like New York City or Los Angeles lack.

Boise is the capital city and the largest city in the State of Idaho and it is the hub of business, banking and government administration. Despite this, it can offer residents many outdoor activities from hiking to boating, hunting to fishing, due to it's location along the Boise River, against the foothills of the famed Rocky Mountains.

With so much on-going outdoors as well as indoors activities, living in Boise is like being on a perpetual vacation. Therefore, it is not surprising that many people choose to set up homes in Boise.

It is no wonder that Boise real estate is in demand and it is important to do some research first before investing into Boise real estate. Most people will go online and search through Boise mls which has a comprehensive list of all homes for sale. It gives a good start as one can search by area or by sale price. One can find a luxury houses above $300,000 or smaller homes for less than $200,000.

From this Boise Multiple Listing Service, one can also search according to size of homes, property types and the year they were built in. With categories like these, searching for the perfect home in Boise is made easy.

Are You Looking For Me?

Once in awhile, my stats tracker shows me that people came to my blog from search engines after searching for keywords Cyberpartygal. Today, someone searched for Cyberpartygal + Blog. Naturally, he/she found this blog. I wonder if he/she is a friend, foe or stalker, since no comment was left. There are too many lurkers here to be comfy.

Sometimes, it's kinda eerie the things that people search for that land them to this blog. Recently, someone came here looking for "panty lovers forum". I know how that came about. I have replaced my "comments" with "panty lover(s)" and I have recently published a post on my newly set up forum.

Mostly, the people that found my blog are people who want information on Paypal or eBay, and there are some who would like to read more about a recent internet scam that happened locally. Hopefully, these people are just readers and not victims. I really feel bad for the victims because they as yet have no recourse to recover their money.

Whatever the case that brought readers to my blog, I hope that they left with the information they wanted. If not, I hope they enjoyed their stay here, no matter how short it was.

Customized Photo Bags Known As Baggettes

I recently was introduced to the rage in America currently. It comes by the name of baggetts. This is actually customized Photo Purses or bags. Basically, you put your photo or any photo that your heart desires on the front of any bag or purse.

Bags like these scream for attention. Almost everyone who walks down the street with a baggett will be stopped by people who would like to know more about baggetts.

Baggettes make great gifts and will make a unique commemorative item too. That's because you get to select the best photo for your bag. It can also be a cosmetics bag, a coin purse, a golf bag, tote bag, just any bag at all.

So Stubborn Lah!

Sometimes people are so stubborn, they keep wanted the freebies that are listed on my WebStore. For heaven's sake, is it so difficult to understand my basic requirements? I believe that I have written them out pretty clearly and to the point and yet there are people who keep putting them into the shopping cart and check out. There are people who even just register themselves at the store, just to get those freebies.

To be honest, it just shows their greed. I may sometimes give out freebies without requirements but they are only reserved for returning buyers, and not total strangers. So, my word of advice is, if you want the items so bad, yea, I know they are Victoria's Secret, just meet the requirements. They are simple enough to meet. Or you can write in to buy them off me. You can also be my regular customer and I may consider giving them out to you.

Don't just come and grab the freebies and make more work for each other. We're not juveniles now, are we?

The Great Orlando Holiday

Last month, my parents booked a vacation package to Disney World. Their accommodation was in one of the Kissimmee hotels. It is very convenient as it's practically next to Disney World. My parents spent a really enjoyable week in Orlando.

When my dad felt like a game of golf, he had access to some of the best golf courses less than forty minutes' drive away. The beautiful beaches that we heard so much of were just as close by.

Some thought that Disney World is only for young people but they are wrong. There are so many things to do and see besides the ride. Even my parents, who are retirees, are thinking of going again!

They told me that Orlando is always upgrading itself that the city changes all the time and there will be plenty to do and see again in a few months' time!

Filmator Is The Way To Go

Nowadays, basic hard copy portfolios are never enough. People now strive to impress and especially with the popularity of the new media, you need to make use of something like filmator.net.

With Filmator, you are allowed to present your portfolios, videos, clips, animations, presentations, flash, documentaries or another other files in a similar format.

If you have ever used podcasting, Flickr and YouTube, you will know that these standalone media will be more powerful if they were combined together. This is where the birth of Filmator comes from.

If you are using it for commercial purposes, you will be charged, but if you are an artist trying to reach out with your work, you get to showcase your creativity for free.

With Filmator, you can also create an online presentation out of your pictures, or make online presentations with your videos, flash clips and audio files. You just need to arrange them in the sequence that you desire.

You can then save your work and embed it in your website. How's that for coolness? If I were involved in new media or trying to sell my art, I would definitely use this service. New media is all the rage now. It can present what still images cannot.

Another Con Case on LowYat.Net

Well, some time back, I highlighted the case of one connie by the name of Johnny, most probably a fake ID. Another connie has struck again in October, 2006. Perhaps it is the same person, perhaps not, but both are eerily using Public Bank account. Well, I know there are many people using Public Banks, but even then, it doesn't stop one from making conclusions, rightly or wrongly!

Ironically, the ID used by this connie is godspeed88. Now, godspeed, in English, means to have a safe and successful journey.

Again, this connie sold expensive electronic gadgets like monitor, memory stick, CPU and mobo. Connies like to con with big priced items like these. Don't forget hand phones and laptops too.

If you require more information on this godspeed88, kindly refer to THIS THREAD.

Seriously, eventhough I myself am trading on LowYat.Net, I wish they have tighter control over who can trade there, and who cannot. It doesn't help the reputation of the site if too many con cases happen within a short span of time, does it?

Looking For Atlanta Condos Online

With the internet so easily accessible by many, the middlemen will find difficulty making a livelihood out of brokering.

Take for example the newly launched CondoList by CondoCompany. If someone is looking for Atlanta Condos to buy, he can just search for them with CondoList and then contact the Realtors, Owners or Developers directly without the need for a middleman.

The good thing about CondoList is that the database is so huge, you can pull information on all Atlanta Condos for sale in one portal instead of searching all over the internet. It's all about convenience and accurate information.

Also, if you are looking for a building specialist, a real estate agent who specializes in high rise luxury condo, you can also search for him from CondoCompany's newly launched "Building Specialist". Everything can be done with just an internet-connected computer.

Sprucing Up Your Website

If you have a website, and more importantly, a webstore, or commercial website, you know that the web template, skins and themes play a major role in attracting browsers and hence converting these casual browsers into customers and returning customers too.

Recently, I changed my template and layout upon the advice of a friend and true enough, I received new orders from total strangers within a week.

If you are going to revamp your website, why not take a look at The osCommerce Cafe? This is a website that currently houses seventy attractive templates with different themes like animals, books, electronics, jewelry, fashion, food & drinks, sports, flowers and many more categories. So no matter what business you are in, you are bound to find a suitable template, skin or theme for your website.

If you would like to sign up with The osCommerce Cafe, you have the option to sign up for a three month, six month or twelve month subscription. During this time you will have access to all the osCommerce templates that are available in the website. You can download as many as you like and use them for your website. You are free to try them out on your website until you are satisfied with the look.

With these subscription options, you can have your hands on high quality templates without having to pay an arm and a foot for them. A three month subscription for unlimited access is only an affordable $89 while some other companies charge as much as $150 per design.

The osCommercfe Cafe was set-up in March, 2006 by Myles O'Reilly, who is the author of the popular book, The Programmers' Guide to osCommerce.

Do give The osCommerce Cafe a look. There is a huge catalogue of seventy designs now and they are updating it regularly, so you can expect a larger pool of templates to spruce up your site!

The Year In Review

2006 has been a rather quiet year, in terms of lingerie sales, compared to 2005. I only have myself to blame for not having that much time to devote to e-trading. It IS a lot of work, believe me.

I still had to face joybidders and troublemakers. Looks like Malaysians are generally still not that educated about online buying. Most still think it is a game, and not a contract of purchase.

The past week has been challenging, what with going without the internet for twelve hours, and making do with the crappy internet connection in the following days.

An internet connected computer is the most essential work tool for any e-trader. When we were going trough the virtual black out in Asia, I did not even have access to e-mail. There was payment received but I had no idea whom it was from. I was panicky as my reputation was at stake and I did not relish it being spoilt by something that was not my fault.

I still am facing difficult in relisting my items on eBay and sometimes on Lelong, due to internet traffic congestion and I dare not even think about listing the new stocks on other forums that I ply my trade.

Even though sales volume was lower, I still enjoyed myself. I always have a sense of euphoria when I am able to close a previous consignment. The sale of the last few items always seem like a lifetime and I heave a sigh of relief EVERY TIME and say a prayer of thanks.

No matter what, I am still thankful for whatever sales I am able to generate. I feel blessed for the Buyers who believe in me and supported my endeavours, and also for the friends who helped me in one way or another.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Hassle No More

With modern technology, almost everything has to be done fast. There was a time when buying big event tickets was such a hassle. By the time you made your way to the counter, you would be told that the tickets are all sold out, or the good seats have been taken. I am sure we have all at one time or another been disappointed by this before the age of the internet.

Now, with a ticketing company like Premium Seats USA, we can be assured of getting our hands on premium tickets of first class seats all at the click of the mouse. Yes, life is now so much more convenient.

Thanks to Premium Seats USA, we do not have to miss another big event or show anymore.

Protection Against Cyber Predators

My neighbor just bought their daughter a new computer after she became the top student in her school. This is the first computer in the household and everyone was excited about it. They even asked us over to have an "inspection".

As I have been using the internet for almost ten years now, I was a little concerned about the girl. She is only ten years old and I am quite sure that the family doesn't know about cyber predators.

So, I bought her PC Magazine's award winning Spector Pro monitoring software to monitor her MySpace activities, including myspace login, private messages, profile views, and who comes into contact with her within MySpace. Granted, MySpace is a community portal aimed at teenagers, but practically anyone who registers himself will have access to all these profile information.

Being a young girl, she doesn't really know what should be in her profile, and what should be kept private and confidential. I hope that Spector Pro will lessen her risk of coming into contact with undesirable people.

Resolutions For WebStore

The New Year is just around the corner, time to make some resolutions. In 2007, I strive to generate more awareness to my WebStore. I have done part of it from October, 2006. I hope to reap some rewards from there.

I will be starting a few more blogs come January and be more active in blogging. This is another way of advertising.

I am trying to keep my advertising cost as low as possible so I won't be buying ads. Maybe I can participate in banner exchange programs. That would be a good option.

Thumbs Up To Professional Realtors

My friend, who is an architect in New York City, was looking for property to invest in. He was looking at commercial Illinois properties, especially Aurora Real Estate to invest in, and found the assistance given and information imparted by Mr. T. Schutter and his team at NewCastle Realty Group invaluable.

With their help, he managed to secure a really nice property with great investment returns and also a great view. Property like this is not easy to find, but NewCastle Realty Group managed to find this perfect property for my friend.

He was all praise for NewCastle Realty Group for their professionalism and it's not a wonder that they are the leading Realtors in that area.

Communication at Critical Levels

It's two days since communication has been almost severed. Today has seen slight improvement, but not much, overall.

I can't log in to eBay to relist my items so there are almost 30 items to be relisted and it has taken me HOURS just to get a couple of items up.

Obviously, I don't even dare think of listing the new stocks on eBay either. I haven't done Lelong as well, although the site, locally hosted, is unaffected, but with even relisting taking so much time, when will I be able to get around to that?

I can't go around listing the new stocks up in the forums that I trade in, either. Thank God I have done the
WebStore, so one less problem.

Great holding cost this time round, but hell, what can we do???

I couldn't even have access to my email yesterday and was unable to retrieve my email or to send any out. My reputation was at stake, you know, but with 98% of Asia affected, I do hope my Buyers will understand my situation.

Anyway, my
WebStore is still open for business, IF it can be accessed.

Teak Furniture Online Store

As someone who runs an online store, I always thought that it makes life easier if I were to sell lightweight items that are easy to ship. But then I discovered an online store like BeFurnished.com that sells teak furniture!

I understand that teak furniture has become very popular recently. Due to its natural wood composition and natural oils in the wood, they make perfect outdoor furniture as they are not afraid of exposure to the harsh weather outdoors. Furniture outdoor teak that is used is imported by BeFurnished, directly from Indonesia.

They are so durable and resistant to termites, mildew, rot and warping that they are not only maintenance-free, but will look beautiful in years to come too.

The Importance of English

English is an essential communication tool whether for business, fun or study, that's why my friends and I took up a London English Course recently from a London English School.

We decided on a
English School England because we wanted to learn proper Queen's English. After doing some research on the internet, we enrolled in an English School London, after all, London is the most happening city in the whole of United Kingdom!

We took up the Executive and Professional Programme from an
English School England and thoroughly enjoyed our month-stay attending the English Course London.

We are already planning to take up another English course in London again.

An Interesting Internet Business Blog

I recently came across a blog on internet marketing. As you know, I am always looking out for things like this to read and see what aspect I can improve myself on.

In this blog, I saw this article
Can a Successful Business be Started With Only $100? This is an interesting experiment. Recently, I myself talked about how much capital does one need to start an Internet Business.

I believe that one can start with $100. Over here, that amount will be MYR355, and I can think of a lot of things that can be done with that amount, although starting a conventional business like a kiosk will be slightly different than starting an e-business.

Chicago Cubs, Here We Come!

I'm very excited because my brother has bought Chicago Cubs Spring Training Tickets in HoHoKam Park, Arizona.

Since we'll be there when our sister graduates from nearby University of Arizona in Tucson, we might as well pack in a baseball game. From Tucson, we just need to take Route 10 North to Superstition Highway and then we'll need to depend on the map from there, if our sister can't show us the way, which she should be able to after studying in Arizona for four years!

My brother is a diehard Chicago Cubs fan, having lived there for years. I am a baseball fan, but don't have a favorite team. Maybe I will root for Chicago Cubs as well since my brother has paid for my ticket too!

Taking Control Of Our Health

I thought that only people like me depend on the internet too much for information but nowadays, even doctors consult the internet. With Epocractes, a free web-based drug and formulary reference guide like, drug information can be retrieved with just a mouse click.

Clinicians the world over are overworked and underpaid so Epocrates have made their workload lesser, as clinicians can prepare information by just printing or e-mailing the information to their patients, in simple language.

Meanwhile, patients can also spent time learning more on pharmaceutical drugs and supplements, like Effexor, Aspirin or Plavix, which is good, since one-third of American adults take at least five different types of medication or supplements daily.

Patients can also learn more about dosage, side effects and reaction of a drug against other drugs. It is high time for patients to be educated and take control of their health.

The Return of Joybidders

Yup, the holiday malady has struck again; as I posted before. Joybidders are very free people who have nothing better to do during the holidays than to joybid on items. They have such sad lives, (or maybe they are no-lifers?), I pity them. I'm not even angry that they joybidded.

In fact, I'm happy because from history, the items that are joybidded on are usually the ones that get sold very quickly after that.

So it's just as well if this joybidder really did not arrange for payment within these three days, then it's open to the public and it will soon enough be snapped up by a genuine buyer.

Perhaps I am only consoling myself with this theory. We'll see.

31st Dec, 2006 - Goodbye High Shipping

That's the last day for Sellers to charge unreasonably high shipping and handling fees. From 1st January, 2007 onwards, Lelong.com.my will take appropriate action against Sellers who continue with he high shipping and handling charge because if Lelong doesn't do it, a Consumer Affairs related Governmental body will force Lelong to disclose the identity of the Sellers.

This is all because of Sellers who are greedy and charge fees way beyond standard rates; hence many Buyers have lodge complaints with this Consumer Affairs body until they are forced to take action.

As a Seller myself, I too agree that we must not charge more than appropriate. It is more important to profit through proper means than to profit via "hidden charges."

Taking A Home Equity Loan

Two months ago, we decided to take out a home equity loan. We had to have our income and credit history checked, and also the loan-to-value ratio of our home.

When all was done, we had to pay approximately 3% of the overall home loan. This was for lender fee, which included costs for appraisal, credit check, document preparation and also application.

We decided on
home equity loans as we needed to free up some cash as our brother was starting college soon and we did not have enough money for his new term fees.

Home equity loans are more attractive as they are tax deductible and have a lower interest rate than credit cards.

Season's Greetings

I, Cyberpartygal, will be going into my third year as an e-trader beginning 2007. Wheeee what a roller coaster ride it has been. There were months with exceptional sales volume that caught me by surprise. There were months that were so dry, it was disheartening but I persevered, that's what's important. I stuck to what I believe in.

After two years, I have connected with many people across the country, people of every race and creed. Because of this, Cyberpartygal's WebStore tries to celebrate all the major festivities in the world.

It's going to be Christmas very soon. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all my customers and blog readers, Merry Christmas and Happy and prosperous New Year 2007!

To all who are not celebrating Christmas, I wish you Happy Holidays. Please be extra careful on the road!

Holiday on a Budget

What do you do when you are about to make a trip overseas? If you're like me, then you'd probably check everything out online first. I don't like surprises.

Recently, I had the opportunity to help my friend plan for her honeymoon. The challenge was her low budget, so most of our decision we made based on how much we can save.

We turned to HotelReservations.com. First of all, they have a large network of hotels all over the world. As my friend hasn't decided which country she would love to visit, we managed to get a low-down on what hotels are available in America, Europe and even Asia. We were assured that when we make a booking, we will be able to get a discount.

My friend believes that apart from the air tickets, accommodation will be eating a large chunk of her budget, so the rebate coupon offered by HotelReservations will come in very handy indeed. For 12-night
Hotel Reservations, she will receive a $100 rebate. This is a great way to stretch her dollar.

They have great vacation packages that could save my friend up to 70%. But first, my friend has to decide what type of vacation she is looking for. Does she need a car? Does she want to visit one or two cities? When will departure be? Of course all these will determine the price of her package.

However, after looking at the various activity packages available at discount prices, my friend was confused on which to package to pick. Of course, if she has the budget, she won't be this confused!

Luckily HotelReservations has a 24 hour customer support to help answer her questions. My friend's fear of charging her credit card online was also unfounded as HotelReservations has a credit card guarantee and a good privacy policy in place.

Gmail Groups

Last night I tried out Gmail groups, making mailing lists of my buyers. All along, I sent out individual, personalized emails to my buyers but this time, I tried out Gmail's feature. For one, it's convenient and time-saving. Moreover, my list is growing and it's getting harder to manage and time consuming to send an update one by one.

So far, did not use it because I was afraid that my mail would be assigned to the Bulk/Spam Folder. That would defeat my purpose of sending an update notification to my buyers, right?

I'm assuming everyone is like me, who never checks her Bulk/Spam Folder and just occasionally delete the junk by a click of the mouse.

I decided to try this time because Christmas is just a day away and I only have twenty new items in the WebStore.

Hopefully, everyone managed to receive my email in their Inbox.

Creative Advertising

Having a commercial site, I am always looking for ways to bring in more eyeballs. It's then up to me to convert these browsers to customers. I recently discovered a really creative way to advertise my website, at only $0.50 per word. This is a very reasonable price to get the exposure and anchor text that I require.

the neverending link is a website that links all advertisers into a long story. Hover over a link and you will get to see a preview of the homepage, and if you like what you see, just click on the preview and you will be directed to the website. That's cool.

The maximum words allowed per link is twenty. At $0.50 per word, that is only $10. A very affordable rate to advertise on the internet.

I will surely be using this service soon. I'm going to wait for an appropriate time to submit my link as the story progresses.

e-Commerce and the Floods

If you think that e-commerce and the real world are two different realms, you can't be more wrong.

The on-going floods in various parts of Peninsular Malaysia have caused disruptions in many online sellers' schedules, especially in shipping. On the other hand, Buyers affected by the floods find difficulty in making payments. Not everyone has internet banking and those who have internet banking and are affected by the floods, do not have access to a computer and internet, hence it's all very chaotic in the cyberworld.

If your Buyer or Seller is not contactable, just track his/her location. He/she may be stranded in the flood.

Internet Gaming

As a budding online entrepreneur, I am all for doing daily things online, including internet gaming. After watching a Korean drama recently, I was quite hooked to poker and went online for more information on internet gaming.

I found that internet gaming is legal in England. Ironically, it is illegal in the United States. I was surprised, because I always thought that in America, ANYTHING GOES, hence the tag "the American Dream" where everything and anything is possible.

While I do not know the reason why it's illegal in the United States, I think that we should be given the choice of participating in internet gaming or not, without using a legislation to govern us, unless we are minors.

There will be an International Casino Exhibition (ICEi) in London next month. It is a large conference where interactive gaming companies will take up 1,500 square meters of stand space, a 70% increase from last year. This figure alone tells us that internet gaming is gaining popularity and bigger than ever.

I heard that
Attorney Emery Brett Ledger will be attending ICEi. He is from Ledger & Associates, P.C., a broad based law firm.

This conference is going to be very exciting, I bet! I wish I can attend too.

Migrated to New Blogger

This blog has migrated to the new Blogger. I was never offered the option to try out Blogger Beta, so I was waiting and waiting for Blogger to come out of beta, which it finally did a couple of days ago.

It migrated without a glitch. I was happy with the transition because finally, the changes that I make to the sidebar are global, and not on per page basis. That was one of my major gripes previously. Also, uploading of images is smoother and publishing is painless.

What I do not like about the new Blogger is that I find the blog loads slower. I do not know if anyone finds it slow too, but a second or two makes a lot of difference. Maybe it's because of the crappy internet connection lately, I don't really know *shrug*

Anyway, I was happy with it UNTIL I read somewhere that WordPress' import function does not work with the new Blogger. Alamak... like this how? I was thinking to migrate the whole blog to a own hosted domain powered by WordPress.

More headaches now! Ahh the bane of being a non-techie!

My 1-Stop Information Website

As a cyber-entrepreneur or netreprenuer if you will, I do a lot of research, especially on marketing and search engine optimization. It is of utmost importance to have my store optimize as the internet is so huge, it could easily be drowned in the depths of other dotcoms.

I was introduced to Internet Marketing Monitor recently. It is a blog that is choke full of internet marketing ideas, advertising and affiliate programs. There are also articles on Google, Yahoo and Windows Live, which I wish to get updated frequently as any changes they make may affect me as a e-trader. They may also come out with nifty tools that will help my sales, or I can play with keyword so that these major search engines will pick them up, and display my Store at the top of search engine ranks. So I keep tab of these from Internet Marketing Monitor.

I have implemented what I learned from Internet Marketing Monitor from their SEO tips. Implementation is easy, but now the problem is driving more traffic to my Store and blogs too. Internet Marketing Monitor has articles on these too. I also found some glitches with my Google Analytics, which was solved after reading an article from Internet Marketing Monitor, which is great and saved me a lot of trouble.

I am an internet marketer and this is my one-stop information portal.

*** The advertiser has requested for my unbiased and honest opinion, so this is it ***

Unwanted Attention

I've been getting loads of unwanted attention with this blog recently. I know many people are trying to catch my every wrong-doing. Shall I bask on this short term glory or shall I be weary of people who may be green eyed of me?

I hope the folks will stop linking our URL to our IDs, before something bad happens to anyone of us. A non linking will stop all these traffic.

Get Organized with AgentOrganized

I came across this software that is most useful to real estate agents. I have friends who are in this line and they tell me they have problems keeping their buyers, contacts or listings organized. They also get their appointments mixed up and their desk is everything is in a mess due to the small pieces of paper here and there.

No doubt they did use software that was made for real estate agents but some were too complex to use or did not function as they prefer.

So I was happy to let them know about AgentOrganizer. This is a easy-to-use
Real Estate Software for the average real estate agent. Almost everyone can use it, and it requires no special computing or programming skills.

Apart from getting everything organized, AgentOrganizer can even be used to create flyers and letters and perform mailmerges.

Whose Fault Is It?

Recently I went to eBay Forums an there's someone calling for eBay Malaysia to be closed down. I understand that he's angry as he was scammed not too long ago of quite a huge sum of money.

Whose fault is it, actually? Is it the scammer or the victim?

In our daily lives there are so many baddies around us, pretending to be good, and it is the same in the online world as well. How come we forget to take the necessary precautions online?

What I feel is that, yes, although the scammers are bad and shouldn't be there in the first place, we do not have control over them, it's a free world where they can also list their "products"

However, we do have control over ourselves. We decide if we want to buy something, if we want to make payment to this person and how much? These are the things that we are in control of and we should make use of our best judgment BEFORE we make the decision to buy or pass.

Therefore, I feel that the majority of the fault lies on the victims. Hopefully they will learn from such costly mistakes.

Why I NEED A Digital Camera Badly

Readers of my blog will know how I've been crying for a digital camera since I started my e-trading two years ago. When I first started, I bought an unbranded second hand digicam from a friend of mine.

He showed me a few shots that he claimed were taken with this camera and they were all very good and sharp. The colors were clear too.

So I thought he was so kind to sell it to me, but I was so disappointed with the quality of the digital photos!

A pink thong turned out grey in the photos! A purple shirt turned out blue! How am I going sell my products then? As an e-trader, the only way for me to market my merchandise is to present an item as accurately as possible but with this camera, I couldn't do that and I know I lost the majority of my sales because of this.

Now the camera is in semi-retirement while I keep asking people to loan me theirs. There was once when one of my potential buyers requested for more images of a particular item. It was late at night and I did not have a good camera on hand, so I told him that the images will only be available the following day. Naturally, the guy was no longer interested in the item anymore.

I don't feel good when people ask me if I am too poor to afford my own, or if I am too stingy to get one. They don't know shit about the situation. How can I tell them that I already used up my budget on a lousy digicam?

Taking An Exercise Break

Some of you may know that I spend too much time on the internet and not getting enough sleep every night. Well, I am a netpreneur on top of my regular desk job at the office and work really long and odd hours so I do not even have time for exercise anymore.

However, nightly, I do make it a point to do some basic stretching and when I have an hour to spare over the weekend, I go for jogging. If I could afford it, I would hire a personal trainer as I like to improve my muscle strength and
fitness. But a personal trainer is such a luxury and not an option right now.

For the time being, I can only spare what little free time I have doing light exercises, just the basic stuff. Sometimes I follow my friends to the gym. While they go for weight training, I only have energy for a light workout.

Since I do not have a regular exercise regime, what I can do is just go on e strict diet. I watch my food intake and make sure I do not load in the calories. It sure won't be easy to get them off, once they are in!

Mobile Money Wallet

I've seen their stickers in shop windows for so long now but when I reach home, I always forget to check it up online. Anyway, I finally got around to it. I wonder if this is popular. Have anyone tried it before? Sending money or making purchases is so easy now those who cannot control their spending will be in deeper shit that those who over-charge their credit cards.

Anyway, would appreciate some feedback on
Mobile Money Wallet from users. Thanks!

Buy More, Save More

It's getting closer and closer to Christmas and of course I am on a course to look for gifts while maximizing my budget, which brought me to Deligthful Deliveries. This is a webstore specializing in gifts with their extensive holiday selection and Gift Baskets. Whether you are looking for food or gourmet gift baskets, Delightful Deliveries will have them.

The Webstore of Delightful Deliveries has a clean and seamless layout and simple to navigate. All the items are neatly categorized according to occasion, brand, recipient, price and restrictions, if any.

I also like the feature where we can zoom into the images to have a closer look, which will help us to make the correct gift buying decision.

Their wishlist is also useful so that we can add our desired gifts in the list and receive what we really want, and make life easier for our gift giver.

And do you know that it's possible for you buy more and yet save more? Well, it is possible with Delightful Deliveries where they have this offer of buying two gifts and save 5% off your total purchase price. The offer code if Buymore.

If you want great gift ideas, look no further than Delightful Deliveries!

Introducing My Baby Blog

Please put your hands together for The Celebrity Blog - Entertainment News For Your Pleasure. This baby blog is part of the XBlogger Network. It's WordPress powered and I'm still feeling my way blinding around, trying to customize the template.

So I'm now a celebrity gossip blogger too. I guess with the little amount of time I can spare this blog, my gossip news won't be that fresh, eh?

I don't even have time to update my links, but I'll get to that soon, soon.

Every time I have work up to my nose, my blogs suffer! I have stuff in my head that I wish to blog on but I just can't spare the time to sit in front of the computer typing away. I wish I could, but it's currently not a option for me.

The blog that suffers the most is ~*~ My Movie Land ~*~. I actually really watched all the movies and dramas that I featured. When I am busy and watching movie is a luxury, I don't have content to blog on.

Unless somebody pays me to watch and review the movies. Yuhooo is anyone listening to me?

By the way, please gimme some link love and kill me if I start another blog!

ClearCube for the Office

My company has recently deployed ClearCube, which delivers centralized computer solutions that integrate blades, access devices and client management software for better control of end user computing.

Installing a
Thin Client ultimately reduces desktop management costs as our IT staff can remotely control the entire computing system of the company using the Sentral management Software, hence improving productivity and t the same time meeting end user needs.

Free Thumbnail Listing for All Store Members till CNY

Previously, Lelong waived the fees for thumbnail listing for selected categories, which I have enjoyed for a few months now.

To be able to offer free thumbnail listing, Lelong compensated the cost of bandwidth by implementing Google Adsense on every page and in the forum too.

Now there's more good news but this will only affect Lelong Store holders. From 12th December, 2006 onwards until after Chinese New Year, every item uploaded will have free thumbnail listing across the board.

Those who are not Store holders will still only enjoy free thumbnail listing for the selected categories, but it's still good!

Unique Conference And Boardroom Tables

Last year, my manager took me to look for a Conference and Boardroom for our office. We practically went to all the furniture shops in town but for most of the tables, after fitting them in the room, there was not much space left to walk because our room was small!

So we went on the internet to check for other avenues and lo and behold, we can order
Custom Boardroom Tables from Unique Concepts. If somebody has told us about this company earlier we wouldn't have to run everywhere!

Unique Concepts, based in North Carolina, is a unique company that specializes in custom building conference and boardroom tables since 1994. We can order a conference or boardroom table to be made in any shape or size and of any material at all, like glass or wood or stone or metal, for example.

We can also request for edge details or high-end details which can only enhance the whole masterpiece. We can also ask for special features like grommets or channels that can be used for cables of audio visual equipments so that the cables snake all over the table. That would be so unsightly.

One of my favorites is the Cherry Boardroom Table with Satinwood Inlay. It's really classy looking and looks like great deals can be clinched around this table but we didn't get it, unfortunately.

Anyway, we made an order for a modest table, but we asked to have our company name and logo incorporated into the furniture.

It was delivered and installed very quickly by the team at Unique Concepts. They came to our office and made sure that everything was all right and that we are happy with the finished product.

It is now like a piece of art in the middle of the room!

New Stocks Have Arrived!

Unfortunately, I am so busy that I haven't even open it for 8 hours now already. Oh my, the amount of work!

Without taking into account the time spent on looking for the best suppliers in terms of quality, brand names and price, without taking into account the time spent on packing and shipping, I now still have to calculate the total cost per piece inclusive of shipping and taxes, take at least 3 - 5 pictures of each item, crop 'em images, upload them to the WebStore (top priority), resize 'em images in the Store, list them with description, price and images, inform all who are in my customer database, list them on eBay Malaysia (2nd priority), list them on Lelong (3rd priority) after resizing 'em images (AGAIN!) and then list them on eight other market places. And then there's more paperwork to be done.

Did I forget to breathe?

Is the little profit worth all these trouble? If I were to calculate profits only, I'd say no. But it gives me a sense of achievement when I actually have buyers for the items. That's why I'm still in this line after two years. Haha!

This time, I am not going to give a stock overview in this blog. From experience, many people were confused when they do not see the pricing. They also want more information like size and such, without realising that they have to go over to my WebStore for all these. So I found myself explaining over and over again.

There's only six days to Christmas, I guess I can't have them online before Christmas. Oh well! I guess I'll just list the new stocks in my WebStore as soon as possible.

So, see you there!

ServLance For Freelance Jobs

A friend of mine has graduated from university for months and couldn't find an appropriate job.

Since my friend is a graphics artist, he can easily make a living from home. So I told him that it's better to register himself with ServLance, a Freelance Services company, instead of just waiting and waiting for a prospective employer to call him for an interview.

ServLance accepts members from all over the world so he'll have a better chance of finding freelance work with its global database of companies. He'll just need to register with ServLance and create a profile so that companies can see if a particular job is suitable for him or not.

Incidentally, I am also a member of MySpace and YouTube, both are also using the same business model, but finally, I recommended ServLance because ServLance has a clean layout, it is easy to navigate and user-friendly while I think MySpace has too many outgoing links that one needs to waste too much time just browsing through. YouTube, on the other hand, has too many irrelevant videos.

So my friend has registered himself and within two days, was contacted by an employer and both are happy with the outcome.

Replicating Like Virus

One of the problems that Lelong has been facing for the past year is the volume of replica goods listed. I have read up on replica goods before some time back. There are two kinds. One is authorised replication where is it recognised by the owner of the original brand. And one is low class replica where we see plenty in night markets.

From what I observe, the replicas in Lelong are exactly like those in Petaling Street. I feel that this really made Lelong lose much of its reputation as the leading auction site in Malaysia. It loses its quality Sellers and indirectly, quality Buyers.

However, Sellers of replica goods are thriving because of the demand. I will never understand humans. Why would someone spend a huge amount of money on a fake item?

And you know replicas? They never last. And then these Buyers complain! Duh! How much more dumb can someone be? Cheap is sometimes good but it mostly is not!

This Will Sell Like Hot Cakes

I came across this male sexual performance enhancement pill called Roplex. I just know it will sell like hot cakes on my WebStore.

If you're wondering where the name
Roplex comes from, it is from the European term "Ropes" which refers to the number of physical ejaculatory contractions of a man during orgasm.

The good of Roplex is that it is made up of all-natural ingredients from botanical seed extracts and the main ingredient is from the flower's seed husk. It is not a "drug" and does not cause harmful side effects to the body. In fact, it is toxin free.

Roplex is cultivated from the plains of Sweden and has been used for generations of Nordics. Now men all over the world can perform sexually like Vikings!

SwissGold

I was asked if I accept SwissGold for my items. No, I only accept cash or cheque. Sometimes USD in Paypal but definitely not Gold.

I tried to find some information on the net, but couldn't get any information. Maybe it's that SwissGoldz. Don't even know if it's a legitimate company or not. Who wants to leave money in there, unable to cash out and then see the company closed down? As we know, dot com comes, dot com goes.

And ca$h is King, not some virtual gold or silver.

The Perfect Crystal Chandelier

A friend of mine has built a new house and her buddies went looking for items to help her decorate her home, with what little budget she has left.

When I came across a website that explained everything about
crystal chandeliers, I knew this is what I MUST get for my friend's house. I can imagine how it hangs from her ceiling and how it will illuminate her home. It will be so romantic and it will fit my romantic friend to a T.

Without further delay, I really bought a crystal chandelier for her, and she was so happy. She told me it's perfect! I'm glad I know her that well! That's what friends are for.

The crystal chandelier that I bought was by Schonbek, the famous maker of crystal chandeliers that even the White House and Buckingham Palace use. It is a piece of art that hangs right in the middle of the room, grabbing everyone's attention. It is also a great conversation piece, but most importantly, it is timeless and yet easy to care for.

Urgent: Change Your Hotmail to Others

For the past week, I found it strange that I did not receive e-mail notification from Lelong for my winning bids but I did receive the auctions that closed without bids. I had to go into my Seller's control panel to check the winners and contact them from there. It was a hassle but it's something that has to be done.

Two days ago, Lelong Support issued an urgent notification informing all Sellers to change their Hotmail accounts to Gmail, Yahoo or others. Anything but Hotmail.

Well, I changed mine to Gmail, but I still have Hotmail for my primary usage, so it will still be a problem for me to get updated on my items, since I only check my Gmail twice a day. So ermm, I may need to get my Gmail redirected to Hotmail.

A New Search Engine Optimization Plan

Some of you may know that my WebStore is hosted in Canada. I was discussing with the staff of my host about bringing in more targeted searches to my WebStore as traffic hasn't been healthy lately.

I was recommended
Search Engine Optimization Toronto. This company offers three search engine marketing packages to fit any budget, which is great for me, since I am unable to allocate too much money for this.

I trust Search Engine Optimization Toronto will be able to turn my WebStore to be search engine friendly and bring me a decent rise in the traffic count.

Say NO To Feedback Exchange / Trade ~ Part 2

Apart from feedback exchange, another trick that is used by potential scammers is that they will place a bid on your item, wait for it to end so that they will be the winner, and before you could even say, "Congratulations!", BAMMM he/she will leave you a feedback and if you're lucky, it will be a positive one.

However, there are jokers out there that would leave you a negative even if you did nothing wrong. Maybe they like to give out angpows? Check your calendar if it's Chinese New Year!

I guess I was "lucky" in the sense that I "only" received a neutral from such a joker. Oh well, life's like that. We meet someone nice sometimes, someone bad sometimes.

eCards Are My Solution

It's only another week to Christmas and I'm seriously running out of time to send Christmas greetings cards to my pals overseas, even if they were to go by air. The only solution for me is ecards. It would save me a lot of hassle and I could still send some Chrismassy Love over to them.

And it's free to send ecards too, especially on Egreetings.com. This year, there is a selection of top ten most funny cards and I most definitely will send these out. They are too funny not to share.

My favorite is
Drunken Santa. I'm going to send this to the closest friends. Look out for it!

Besides these
free Christmas cards, I can also subscribe to Egreetings.com at only USD13.99 and it comes with the first month free. With this subscription, it saves me the trouble of forgetting when to send out what card to whom. I'll never miss an important date ever again.

In fact, I wouldn't even know of this offer if it's not mentioned in the
eCards for everyone blog. This blog reviews ecards websites and keep us in the loop of what's on offer and give us the best value for our money.

eBay Tightens Cross Border Selling Requirements

From 14th December, 2006 onwards, only eBay Sellers who are PayPal verified and have the PayPal account linked to his/her eBay account will be allowed to sell at international eBay sites apart from the one he/she is registered with.

This has got to be eBay’s highest level of verification imposed on Sellers as a measure to protect Buyers.

However, Sellers who are exempted from this verification are those with at least 25 total feedback, out of which 98% are positive, have listed and sold at least one item on another site in the last 90 days as of December 1st, 2006.

Looking at the fraud statistics, I guess this verification process is just as well implemented sooner than later. This will of course affect most eBayers who are registered with eBay Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.

A verification process like this will improve Buyer - Seller confidence as a verified status proves that he/she has successfully passed PayPal's stringent identification checks.

Say NO To Feedback Exchange / Trade

This morning, I received a bid on my Happy Bunny sleep shirt. I was so happy, because I have had them for about 1.5 months and there have been no takers. To be frank, sleep shirts are not as popular in Malaysia as they are in America, but they are too cute to pass up the chance of procuring. I have three and they all remain unsold but I always tell myself, I can wear them myself if no one wants them.

Anyway, shortly after getting the bid, I received an e-mail from the bidder.

Message from eBay Member xxxxxxx

hello. i am not into buying this item. but i am willing to provied a feedback for you. hope you understand and do the same for me. thanks

I was very angry when I received this e-mail. I absolutely do not exchange/trade feedback. Every single positive feedback on my ID is hard earned and I am damn proud of my reputation, which I spent time and energy building.

No way am I going to get some valueless feedback and maybe even help to bring up a conman in the process.

Straigtht away I removed his bid on my item and barred him from further bidding on any of my items.

Someone who wants to build his feedback count like that tells us something, doesn't it?

Better To Be Safe Than Sorry!

Recently, there was a robbery at the neighborhood jeweler. This is not the first time it happened to them. I pity the boss for being the target of robbers. Maybe it's because the robbers think that this is an easy victim and they can get their loot easily that's why they kept coming back.

Although they are covered by insurance, their premium gets higher and higher due to their frequent claim. So I recommended to him the use of
bullet proof glass for his showcases.

At first, he was skeptical that they would not look nice but I told him that these
bulletproof glass products can be customized to his liking. I also showed him the company that specializes in this.

The boss was so impressed with the professionalism of the company, Pacific Bulletproof Co., he has set aside the new budget for bulletproof fiberglass and for his whole shop too. He said it's better to be safe than sorry!

Let Me Be Their Santa Claus

Sometimes, it's kind of boring to be giving the same holiday gifts. This year, I am looking for a change and would like to give Hotel Vouchers to my friends and family.

This will surely surprise them. I can place these vouchers easily into nice envelopes and one wouldn't even be able to guess what's inside. Anyway, it beats the tiresome creative gift wrapping!

I know some of my friends who have not gone on holidays for ages, and never spend on themselves perhaps due to their financial circumstances or something, so this year, I will be their Santa Claus and treat them to a holiday break. They surely deserve and I'd like to thank them for putting up with me and my moods!

eBay X'mas Contest: Here Comes Santa Claus

After a rather successful Christmas Gift Exchange program by Malaysian eBayers, there's now another game to keep them in a Chrismassy mood and in the spirit of an eBay community.

A member, Helen, by the ID of h_yml came up with this game called
X'mas Contest: Here Comes Santa Claus

What we are supposed to do is to guess who is behind the specs and white beard. The six people behind are actually fellow eBay members.

The person who makes the correct guess will win a Christmas themed prize courtesy from Helen herself.

Each member can make multiple guesses but only the last entry will be taken into account. This contest ends on Sunday 17/12 11.59pm, and the prize will be sent out on the following day.

So, let's go and make guesses! Good luck, everybody!

I'm Off To A Spa Holiday Break!

After working so hard for the past year, I'm finally going on a vacation. A friend recommended me a spa holiday break. According to him, Spa Holiday Breaks are all the rage now. He also told me to check out JMP Luxury, a travel company based in the UK which specialises in spa holiday breaks at special rates.

I got a brilliant idea from browsing their website; I'm going to give myself a spartie! That's right, spartie is a spa in a party environment! This time I am really going to pamper and indulge myself. Having worked so hard all year through I deserve it!

With the high currency exchange rate between GBP and MYR, I have JMP Luxury to thank for all the offers that will help me to stretch my holiday budget.

Chasing For Payment

I know I wrote on this before, but after two years as an e-trader, I still find it tough to chase for payment from buyers.

Today I'm writing about this again because I have the misfortune to encounter a difficult buyer. The amount isn't big and I don't see why it's so difficult to pay up. If she can't pay up, the why order in the first place, right?

I know sometimes buyers encounter problems, especially regarding ATM's inability to receive bank notes of smaller denomination than MYR10, but I am always open to discussions and suggestions.

Being silent will not solve the problem, and that leaves me hanging and waiting for the payment to come so that I can ship out as soon as possible. I am indeed too efficient for my own good and it's my bane that I expect the same level of commitment from other parties.

Anyway, I don't have a thick skin and for a minor order, I usually will just let it go after two reminders. There's no fun in asking for the money and make myself look desperate.

I'm of the logic that if she doesn't want it anymore she can just let me know, I won't hold a grudge against her. Life would be so much simpler if only people like this are of the same wavelength as myself, then I wouldn't have this bitter taste in my mouth.

Custom Build Your Sign Board

A signage is very important to a brick and mortar store. It is something that gives a first impression to a walk in customer. If it is done professionally, customers will feel like it's worth to give business to this store.

BuildASign.com builds
Custom Banners and sign boards. It is also not difficult to design your own custom made sign. Just log on to their website, choose your desired size and layout. You will be able to modify and edit the text and images.
When it is done to your preference, just order it there and then and it will be shipped to you. It is all a very quick and pain-free process.

Misuse Of Mailing List ~ Part 2

Today, I guess all members of the eBay Malaysia Group received a mass e-mail from the tai kar jie (big sister).

No, it's not any announcement pertaining to the Group. No, it's not even anything to do with eBay.

She sent that email asking us to join some referral program, where she wants to override us for personal benefit.

This programme has a similar concept as AdAdvantage or CashSurfers or DesktopDollars or SurfJunkie, where what we do is just run an ads toolbar at the top/bottom of the screen. However, they all folded even before we managed to cash out.

Now, I'm not saying that this programme won't earn a member revenue and I'm not saying that it's wrong for members to recruit people under him/herself.

What is wrong here is the misuse of the mailing list. It is really unbecoming of a group leader to do this, all for personal gain.

Previously she did it twice to announce her first and second Private eBay Workshops. This is the second time.

Can you imagine what would happen if each and every member thinks it's all right to send out a mass notice like that through the eBay Malaysia Group mailing list?

The Store For All Your Wedding Favor Needs

Although I browse through many webstores, I only will feature in this blog those that have something unique to offer. And I found it in The Knot Wedding Shop.

This webstore is the largest internet store that offers over a thousand different unique
cheap wedding favors and supplies in their extensive range that one will be spoilt for choice, and will not be that difficult to pick the perfect wedding supply.

Although they are top of the range quality, their prices are competitive that you can have two units what you can only get in other stores.

Plus, they have an added service of personalizing selected wedding favors with the bridal couple's names and the wedding date, all for free, whereas, this is a service that one needs to pay for in other stores.

The Knot Wedding Shop is indeed a value-added wedding favor webstore.

Going For A Nautical Theme

I used to collect seashells, starfish and sand dollars for craft work but they somehow gets brittle and breaks off or smell bad later, because I do not know how to treat them professionally.

Now, I can still enjoy their beauty without the trouble of collecting them myself from the beach, as I found many from QualityShells.com, a webstore that specialises in real sea life items from oceans around the world.

The seashells, sand dollars and white starfish sold at QualityShells.com are reasonably priced and they have bulk discounts. They also have different price range for the different sizes.

Apart from using these for arts and craft, they make good accessories pieces or decorative items for a nautical theme.

Don't You Like My Striking Hot Golden Red Bra & Thong Set?

It's not easy being an e-trader. One of the major obstacles is a buyer doesn't have the chance to inspect the goods or appreciate the beauty of the real item.

There's this
bra and thong set that I think is one of my hottest item, but after a few months, I have not even received a single enquiry for it.

Oh yeah, I remember getting an offer for it at half the price! Of course I said no way!

I make bets with myself, trying to guess how long I need to hold on to it before it gets sold. Although the holding cost is not all that much, it's still holding cost and it doesn't reflect well on business if holding cost is too long.

Anyway, there's only another ten days to Christmas and my new stocks are not here yet. They always get delayed. I hope that someone will come along and buy it off me! That would give me a jolly Christmas indeed!
