Although I am not an expert on investment, some of the email I receive really makes me laugh because these people are baiting for big fish. Not too long ago, a so-called friend of mine tried to sell a scheme to me promising a huge return rate. I was tempted because I was financially tight and thought to myself, "If I could find only $500 to invest in this, I would have $1000 by the end of the year."
I know, I was young, naive and most of all, GREEDY.
Luckily I asked my mother for advice and she told me that I am better off investing into gold, silver and other precious metals. She says that no doubt returns are slower to come by BUT the risk is so low it is almost negligible.
So, I heeded my mom's advice and told this guy that I did not have the funds, not even $500. He reduced the amount and told me that we could share. I said, I don't even have $250. Well, that was the last I heard from my "friend".
