Finally, the Malaysian government decides to ban Scratch-N-Win opportunities. This has gotten out of hand for the past few years but not much action has been taken. A lot of people have already fallen victim and lost some money. Shockingly, these syndicates have become bolder and bolder until they beat up "smart" people who refused to participate in their scratch card programme.
I personally have been approached by many and in fact, Ipoh is one of the cities that have been invaded by these. My goodness, these boys and girls who are hired by these syndicates do not even speak the local dialects. How are they supposed to "sell" their product?
I believe that victims are not that dumb to be cheated of their money but from the few cases that I observed, they were led to part with their money because they never had the chance to refuse.
I think that no that this is illegal, we should do our part and report them to the police should we see them loitering in public places looking for victims.
