I visited my neighbor's house for a pre-Christmas dinner the other night and I was surprised that they have a full cabinet of trophies. This neighbor has a son who topped his school in his studies from primary to secondary school and continued obtaining many firsts in university, where he went to Singapore under a scholarship.
I was so envious of the many competitions that he won because my cousins are all scholars at school and they also won scholarships to further their education. Even now that they are already working, they still top their department in one thing or another.
Sometimes I wonder why I am the only one who does not study well. Why don't I have the smart genes too? It makes me wonder if I were adopted as a child!
