I was supposed to send a package out yesterday after payment from the Buyer has cleared. I did tell him to make payment latest by the morning of 5th February, 2008, so that I can ship out his item on 5th and he will receive it on 6th.
The post office will close from 7th onwards and if I were to ship out on 6th, yesterday, when the Buyer made his payment, it would mean that the package will be in the closed post office for DAYS until it opens for business again and delivery could be made on the 11th.
No way do I trust the post office enough to keep my package safely for DAYS. I mean, there really is no guarantee that "something" will not happen when packages are locked inside for days, you know?
It is better to be safe than sorry so this particular package will only be sent out on Monday and will arrive to the Buyer on Tuesday, 12th February, 2008, which is only one day delay. Well, not my fault when I specifically stated why I needed the payment as soon as possible.
