This month has been exceptionally bad for me in terms of revenue. I know that there was the long Chinese New Year holiday that disrupts my work and this month is a short month with only 29 days, though we did gain one day from previous non-leap years.
Whatever it is, it has been a tough ride and it seems to me that I cannot find my footing at all. I wonder if it has something to do with my celestial calculations.
My friend told me that people who work for themselves will always see ups and downs in their income. Sometimes there will be bumper months and sometimes there won’t. Whatever the case, we have to see it through.
I told this friend that even if we were to work for others, we could also lose our job and end up with nothing right? I know, I am always being negative! But I have seen my friends who lost everything once they get the boot from their company, no matter how highly ranked they were or how much they were paid.
Once the company thinks that they have finished using you, you will be shown the door. At least I see this happening all too often in the public sector!
