Here's something different. An entire Tuscan village by the name of Pratariccia has been put up on eBay by the owners, a monastic order, who has been trying to sell off the village for years. 

The 800-year-old village, on 20 acres of land, which has 25 cottages, was abandoned some 50 years ago, when Italy experienced an economic boom and drove the villagers to work in factories, abandoning their homes. I guess they found their wealth, seeing that they never came back to their village.
