There has been a lot of cases of fraud whereby buyers send payment with instant money transfers such as Western Union and Money Gram.
According to the eBay Safe Payments Policy which was enforced on January 15, 2006, "Sellers, cannot ask you to pay through instant money transfers".
Paying with instant money transfers are not covered by the Buyer Protection on eBay as discussed in the Protection Claim: Eligibility Requirements
If you encounter sellers who insists you to pay via such methods, report them to eBay through this webform:
