Ever wondered which is the better auction platform to list your items? According to Alexa, the top three websites accessed by Malaysians today are: Yahoo, MSN Network and Friendster.
And for e-traders like us, we are more interested to know the traffic to auction sites. Lelong.com.my is at no. 25 while eBay Malaysia is at no. 59. eBay main site (USA) is at no. 33.
On the other hand, eBay USA is the 9th (or is it 5th?) most accessed website globally.
From here, although the statistics may not be 100% accurate, we can see that if we only intend to market our products locally, Lelong should be given more priority.
And if we do decide to break into the international market, then eBay USA should be the way to go, perhaps followed by eBay UK, then eBay Australia.
Of course I'm only taking into account English Language eBay sites.
