Chasing For Payment

I know I wrote on this before, but after two years as an e-trader, I still find it tough to chase for payment from buyers.

Today I'm writing about this again because I have the misfortune to encounter a difficult buyer. The amount isn't big and I don't see why it's so difficult to pay up. If she can't pay up, the why order in the first place, right?

I know sometimes buyers encounter problems, especially regarding ATM's inability to receive bank notes of smaller denomination than MYR10, but I am always open to discussions and suggestions.

Being silent will not solve the problem, and that leaves me hanging and waiting for the payment to come so that I can ship out as soon as possible. I am indeed too efficient for my own good and it's my bane that I expect the same level of commitment from other parties.

Anyway, I don't have a thick skin and for a minor order, I usually will just let it go after two reminders. There's no fun in asking for the money and make myself look desperate.

I'm of the logic that if she doesn't want it anymore she can just let me know, I won't hold a grudge against her. Life would be so much simpler if only people like this are of the same wavelength as myself, then I wouldn't have this bitter taste in my mouth.
