Recently, there was a discussion on which party is responsible for insurance. Is it the Buyer or the Seller?
Well, as a Seller who doesn't offer insurance, it is an option that the Buyer can choose. Right now, I do not offer insurance because my items are lowly priced. However, it is compulsory for items above MYR500.
In my case, I do offer this to international Buyers. And of course, insurance has to be paid for by the Buyer, and not the Seller.
On the other hand, a Seller, if he is selling high priced products, should include insurance. In the invoice, I believe Sellers in this category will be wise to add in insurance, together with postage and handling. Of course, it has to be itemized and not billed one lump sum, to avoid misunderstanding.
