Top Ten Scams

I recently came across articles on dot cons, and here are two lists of top ten scams that we must know in order to avoid being conned. The internet is a rather dangerous place.

Top Ten Online Scams (in random order):
1. Internet Auction Fraud
2. Internet Service Provider Scams
3. Internet Web Site Design/Promotions - Web Cramming
4. Internet Information and Adult Services - Credit Card Cramming
5. Multi-level Marketing/Pyramid Scams
6. Business Opportunities and Work-At-Home Scams
7. Investment Schemes and Get-Rich-Quick Scams
8. Travel/Vacation Fraud
9. Telephone/Pay-Per-Call Solicitation Frauds (including modem dialers and videotext)
10. Health Care Frauds

Top Ten Email Scams (in random order):
1. The “Nigerian” Email Scam
2. Phishing
3. Work-at-Home Scams
4. Weight Loss Claims
5. Foreign Lotteries
6. Cure-All Products
7. Check Overpayment Scams
8. Pay-in-Advance Credit Offers
9. Debt Relief
10. Investment Schemes

I personally receive many spam email on a daily basis, but spamming is not as big a deal as spam scam. In any case, I do not open email that comes in weird subject titles like "Enlarge your penis" or "Congratulations! You have won the Lottery!" or something like that.

I say, forget it, you don't even know if I have a penis or not, and I did not even bet on any foreign lotteries, how could I win?
