After the WebStore revamp last month, there was a surge of traffic, thanks to a new advertising campaign.
Like I have always stressed, it is as tough as moving a mountain if you are setting up a webstore exclusively, and without the required budget for marketing and creating awareness among the public.
Established sale or auction platforms like eBay, Lelong or Yahoo Auctions are there for us to make use in building our clientele, without breaking our bank.
After gaining the trust of customers from these established sites only can we divert them to our webstore.
Even knowing this myself, I get a kick out of seeing my traffic shooting up from the reading of sitemeter, which I installed on the same night I revamped the store, upon the recommendation of my Sifu.
But I must say, it's not easy to use sitemeter. It can be rather confusing because it doesn't accumulate the traffic from each particular referral but tabulate each data in single entries.
I guess this just needs some getting use to. Anyway, more positive traffic would make my day. Traffic is traffic but a positive one is traffic that actually converts to a purchase. Yeah, baby!
