I recently came across a way where our online shopping can make a difference to the less privilege. 
By making our regular online purchases at FreePledge.com, we get to select any non-profit organization to support. FreePledge - Shop, Donate, Feel Good has a pool of 153 nonprofits.
What we have to do is just sign up with FreePledge.com and select a non-profit to support. We then proceed to do our usual shopping at the 150 retail partners.
A % of our total purchase is automatically donated to the non-profit that we have selected earlier.
See, we get to shop like we always do and yet do our charity on the side, without expanding our budget. Isn't that great?
