Making or Breaking A Business

I recently read that what makes a business are the prices, quality and service. And may I add good public relations and communication? I have mentioned before in one of my many previous posts that low price is great but make sure quality is never compromised. Selling cheap is of course never enough to make a Buyer return but selling quality products coupled with unmatched customer service will.

It is important for a Seller to have good language and communication skills to come across as a genuine and friendly Seller. The impression left on the Buyer will go a long way in helping your business.

Etrading is a unique business where over 90% of communication is via email, personal messages and messengers. The rest is via SMS and telephonic conversations. There is only a small percentage of transactions where the Buyer actually meets up with the Seller.

Moreover, in eCommerce, we sell our product via images and text, where we describe what our product is all about. So we have to grab the chance to describe our item as accurately as possible with clear terms and conditions to avoid future disputes.

In Malaysia, the primary language of communication outside of school and government offices is still English. Therefore, if anyone is serious about selling online, it sure helps to write better English.
