There was one guy who charged MYR12 for Poslaju shipping within Peninsular Malaysia for a package under 500g. The deal went trough successfully but the buyer complained that shipping is too expensive.
Now, common sense tells us that if we do not agree with the shipping cost, or any other terms set forth by the Seller, we stay away from that auction. What is the point to buy something and then complain about it knowing full well the terms beforehand?
There are people who say that MYR12, is reasonable, although the real cost charged by Pos Malaysia is MYR4.73. These people have factored in other miscellaneous fee like packaging, handling, gas, parking and what not.
There are people who say that MYR12 is way too high. I personally think that it is higher than necessary. I myself only charge what is charged by Pos Malaysia, i.e. MYR4.73 for packages under 500g within Peninsular Malaysia.
Anyway, to avoid disputes like these, the best is for the Seller to add in whatever miscellaneous charges to the SELLING price. Wouldn't it solve all the problems?
Why push down your selling price trying to trick people into clicking and perhaps bidding on your item and then WHAM! surprise people with a high shipping charge?
Yes, no doubt shipping is already stated clearly in the auction page, but from my own experience, people only read what they want to.
