The Waiting Game

Selling online is actually a waiting game. What a Seller can do is to list everything up live on auction sites or webstores, and then wait for people to come and look and if they are attractive enough, people will buy.

In attractive, I do mean physical attributes and also the pricing.

A Seller who goes not have the patience may in fact lower the price and keep lowering it until someone notices the low price and buys it.

In fact, Seller has to be very patient in outlasting the competition and yet hold on to the price that has been set. It does not help if the Seller keeps lowering the price. Buyers will never buy from you when you first list your new stocks since they will be anticipating you to lower your prices once nobody buys from you. So it is actually self-defeating.

If you are thinking of being an etrader, be prepared to wait for sales. Yes, you can do all the marketing you want and spread the word as hard as you can but these will need time to take effect. Know that there are some days where you may not be able to close a sale. That's not the end of the world. Tomorrow will be another day and a new hope.
