I recently had to deal with a computer shop. I bought an item from them which caused a conflict on my computer. So I took everything to the computer shop where they tried to troubleshoot to find out the problem. They took a couple of hours just to find out what was wrong, all without charge.
Subsequently, they said that I will have to format my computer which I will have to pay for it since my computer was not purchased from them but if after the format, I still could not make my gadget work, they will buy back my item from me.
After formatting my PC, which I was charged, but at a discount, the item still could not work. It was not that the item is faulty or does the fault lie with my computer. Both are working fine as they are but they just are not compatible. I feel that I should not be penalized for this.
In the end, the shop did buy the item back from me, at a price that we are both satisfied with. Their policy is only to buy back items that have not been opened before, or registered for warranty, which I did both. My logic is that if I do not open the item, how will I ever know that it is not compatible with my computer?
Anyway, they did buy back, they charged me less for formatting my computer and most of all the delivered what they promise. Although I was stressed out with the incompatible purchase, I do not hold it against the shop and I was happy with the treatment I received.
A shop like this is surely worthy of my recommendation.
