How important is proof-reading? I would say it is very important when all you can do to present your products to the public is via text and images. What you write may not be the same meaning as what is read so you have to read and reread your description before publishing.
Today, I came across a sales flyer from a leading shopping mall. One of the items on sale is lingerie and a bra was described as "Inner bra". I find it musing because there is no outer bra, is there? Either it's just BRA or it's INNER WEAR. So there's no such item as INNER BRA.
For a leading retailer, this is a real BOO BOO. One would think they have the money, resources and manpower to get everything prim and proper. Shall I write to them pointing out the error? Maybe they will give me an inner bra?
