Previously, I mentioned that a couple of local eBayers have been misusing the community group mailing list to announce their own businesses. I look at this as an abuse of position and power.
This past couple of days when I had some free time on my hands, I surfed the forums and community Boards and to my horror, saw these two same people asking people openly to view their auction listings for more info. I think this is a breach of the Terms of Service.
Normally, even when we have a link to our listing on eBay in our signature, we would be warned, but nowadays it's so common to see people with links that point not only to their listings but to a third party external online store or commercial blog.
Judging from the many times they mentioned their listings publicly on the Boards, these two aren't even getting a warning. Perhaps they are "somebody"?
To be frank, it is sickening that there is double standards on the Boards.
