Delayed Reply

I was searching for an electronic item and finally found it being sold in an online store in America. I wrote in to the seller with some enquiries pertaining to payment and shipping. And you know what? It took him one full week to reply to my email.

Did you know that if the Seller does not reply in a timely manner, the Buyer loses confidence in the Seller / online store? I too would feel like that. A long time ago, I was delayed in replying to an email enquiry when my computer was sent in for repairs. I did not think I was that late, since the email only came in the previous day. Replying within 24 hours is quite normal, although in practice, I usually reply within the hour.

So I replied it an received his message that he is no longer interested in my item. The internet is a very swift medium for business. It never sleeps.

If a reply is not received in a timely manner, it is like walking into a shop and not being served, so you can just walk next door taking the business with you, you know what I mean?

IN tis case, though, my item is not urgent so I do not mind waiting for his reply. I just wrote him a follow up mail, so I am prepping myself to wait for another week.
