Over the past week, I have been bombarded with fraudsters trying to phish my Paypal account threatening to close my account if I do not update my personal particulars and what not.
All these attempts are rather scary. A lapse of judgment would have my clicking on links in these emails. Luckily, so far I am still alert and it helps that these emails have been caught in my Spam Folder.
Moreover, the saving grace is that these emails were sent to my email address that is used for junk sign ups and mailing lists. So far, I have not receive such a phishing mail in my legitimate email that is in the Paypal system.
I read that Paypal and eBay accounts receive the most phishing attempts. I must say, I personally have been receiving such emails at a ratio of 10:1 It's so rampant, we all have to be very cautious!
