Managing Financial Portfolio Online

As you know, I am a share trader so I was delighted when I was invited to Join the SteamStreet Beta. This website is still in Beta but was very eager to test out its features. I may not be a high volume share trader but I have a couple of lots here and there and it is getting more and more difficult to keep track of.

Upon log in to my SteamStreet acoount, there are three columns. One for the indices of Dow Jones, S&P and Nasdaq. Second colume is for the most active shares and the third is for the top gainers and losers.

I like it that once I log in, I can straightaway see how my shares fare int erms of percentage and value. Normally, I had to calculate it myself but with this feature, I need not do it myself so I don't waste time and then delay my Sell or Hold decision.

With SteamStreet, not only am I able to manage my stocks all in one place I could even share my portfolio with friends and fellow investors and vice versa. Making investment decisions is not a one-man thing so to be able to share tips and ideas is a great benefit to all members.

Right now, stock quotes are delayed for 15 - 20 minutes. I look forward to the day when we can enjoy real time quotes.
