A Better Way To Accept Credit Cards

Some one came to my webstore recently to check out my payment processor. He did a check out with a couple of times without having the intention of paying for them. I thought it was a sale but then he dropped me a note telling me that he has a better payment gateway and asked me to try it out.

Firstly, I do not take too kindly to him doing a checkout like that and THEN have the nerve to sell me his product. I know my payment processor is not perfect and that I should have a more friendly way to accept credit cards but that is not the way to approach me, is it?

Even so, I went and had a chat with a fellow online trader who runs a very popular store. I wanted to know how good his payment processor is and he told me that he has not encountered any problem so far. He said that since setting up his online store, he has been using a merchant account company and because the transactions run so smoothly, he sees no reason to switch to another. He believes that he is only one of many loyal customers. Well, if my own provider has not been giving me problems, I wouldn't think of switching either!

According to my friend, when he signed up for a merchant account, he was given a whole list of freebies. It also did not require any fees to set up, no paperwork and the best is there is no annual fee. That means he is only paying a small service charge for every successful sale. This means that he could keep his layout capital low.

Moreover, he was given a long list of programs and software for credit card processing, credit card terminal, online sales tracking and reporting, shopping cart set up system and a host of other software that makes running his business without hassle.

My friend told me that I should check out the company fast because they are running a promotion that ends on 12th July, 2007. This certainly looks like I have to act fast as time is of the essence!
