Losing Out

The other day, I bought a product that comes in a printed bag. There is a brand name with the company logo and address. I wanted to buy their product in bulk and was not sure if they sell wholesale so I thought I would give them a call since the company is from the southern most state in Peninsular Malaysia, a long way from where I am.

However, I checked the package everywhere but could not find their telephone number. So I thought I would check the internet for their website since they did print the name of their company on the bag.

I Google-ed, Yahoo!-ed and MSN-ed but there was no such company listed at all. I am not surprised that they do not have a web presence. If they did, they would have printed their web address on the bag too, right? But don't tell me they don't even have an office number, a number that people could call up to make enquiries?

You see, without this information on hand, I don't think I want to take the trouble to look up Yellow Pages or call up Telekom Directory to find out their number since there is no guarantee that the information will be available. I would rather buy the same product from their competitor and give my business to them.
