Stupid Hotmail

Two months ago, I wrote about Hotmail and how I have been trying to retrieve my Hotmail email via my mobile device. Last week, I finally had the chance to search the internet for an answer and I came to the conclusion that Hotmail is a web-based email client and there is no way we can retrieve our email from our Hotmail account like we could our Gmail.

However, IF we have a premium Hotmail account, we would then be able to get our email via mobile Windows Messenger Live. Most of us are using free Hotmail so this is not workable as well.

What we can do is to forward our Hotmail address to another email, and Hotmail only allows ONE email account and the email has to be either our own domain or an ISP account and not another web-based email address) and after forwarding, our email will be deleted from our Hotmail account. And Hotmail also requires us to log in to our web based account every 120 days or our Hotmail account will be terminated. Haiihhh.. I don't want my mail to be deleted even when they are forwarded to my own domain email. Can or not? Is that too much to ask?

I asked my friend about this problem and he told me that Microsoft is doing this because they want us to log into our Hotmail account to read and send email because of the advertisements.

Why can Google let us use of our accounts freely but Microsoft, such a large and rich company, cannot do so?
