My friend told me that Apple is very arrogant because they have monopolized the iPhone market by forcing people to subscribe to AT&T cellular services only and for two years. I told him that most probably AT&T has invested a tidy amount of money in the R&D of the iPhone so that is why they are doing this.
My friend says this does not justify their iPhone battery problem where iPhone owners would have to send their iPhone in to get the battery changed. Well, I could only put this down as a curb to imitation made in China batteries.
However, what I do not understand is why they disallow the installation of thirsd party applications that would make the iPhone so much better to use. And the games... I hate it that I have to play them online because it's not as if I have access to wifi twenty four hours a day.
I read in the papers that Germany says it is illegal to monopolize the market this way and consumers can ask for the iPhone to be unlocked but they would have to pay an extra EUR100 or more. Well, it all boils down to being legal or being poorer!
