About a week ago [wow, time really flies!] , I signed up with a high end luxury watch company in Switzerland as their affiliate member. This company supposedly pays affiliate members in many different ways like member subscription, banner clicks, page impressions and most importantly, sales.
However, payment can only be calculated if they are able to track the referrer link from your website, blog, forum or any other web page. The inability to track this will mean a loss of commission or affiliate fees to you.
Although I have joined them for a week already, it was only just this afternoon that I found a little time to embed their banner code on my blog. Yes, believe me, I have been THAT busy!
I know, I have lost the week's opportunity but then it's unavoidable. In any case, the banners are already in place in my blog with the highest traffic on a daily average but then all website traffic suffers over the weekend. Let me see if this affiliate programme can earn me some pocket money. I hope so, though!
