How Strong Is Your Brand?

Earlier today, I was blog hopping and I came across a post where the blogger wrote that even as bloggers, we need to be able to brand our name. This post was written after he was asked to review a forum and he could not associate the domain name of the forum with the name of the forum.

You see, the domain name is very important and it is best to buy one that people could associate it with the nature of our website or blog. I myself went through this when I was looking for a domain name for my iPhone website. I wanted people know what my site is all about without coming to my site yet.

Once we managed to secure a good domain name that is easy to remember, spell and pronounce that reflects our business, it would be easy to brand. Branding and marketing go hand in hand of course. But in this case where they did not have a domain name that people could instantly associate with the type of business they are in, they would, I think, need the help of a professional marketing company.
