I don't understand why some of my e-trading colleagues are so nervous when new members place bids on their items. When they see a new member or a member without a feedback, or without at least ten positive feedbacks, they will at once shoot a message to this person asking if he/she is genuinely interested in buying the item.
As for me, I don't mind if the bidder is new or has zero feedback. I am only dismayed if he/she has a couple of negative feedbacks!
I believe that we should give every member a chance to purchase our items. It does not matter that a person is new and has no trading reputation. Heck, did we not start from the very bottom ourselves? Although our feedback count may be high now and out reputation may be glowing, let's not forget our roots.
Imagine how scary it is to suddenly receive a message from the Seller asking if you really want to buy the item or not. I am sure any new member would be bewildered wondering what he/she did wrongly! You, as a Seller, may put it down to a bad experience but each and every member is different.
