Some of you may remember that my sister lives in the United States, in Tennessee in particular. She told me that residents in Tennessee will be "celebrating" something called "Sales Tax Holiday" on 25th to 27th of April. That's three days of tax free purchase. Well, almost, because there will usually be some kind of restriction like the kind of purchases and/or minimum purchase.
So you can imagine, everyone will be going out in droves making purchases since they normally have to pay quite a high rate of sales tax which I think, is awful!
Residents of Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon, on the other hand, enjoy tax free purchases day in and day out. AWESOMENESS! I think that even here in Malaysia, for some stuff, we have to pay sales tax too. Correct or not?
