Every stranger who enters my house, whether he is a service man or the gas man, or even the recycling man, will surely comment that my house is large. There's this recycling man who comes by weekly to pick up our stuff for recycling and he will comment so EVERY SINGLE TIME!
I don’t think my house is that large but they have the impression that it is large because I have shag rugs in strategic places that make the rooms appear larger than normal.
I have always wanted to carpet my home but with pets that live inside the house with us, carpets, especially wall-to-wall carpeting is not practical at all. Shag rugs are great because I could use them like carpets, yet they are easy to clean. I especially love shag rugs that are colorful or have some form of pattern because these are great for adding color to the room. The added color create warmth in the room.
I recently told a friend that she could use shag rugs to create an invisible “line” between sections of rooms. These rugs could also be used to define specific areas of interest within a room. If you use shag rugs, did you know that you can even hang one up on the wall? What a beautiful piece of art it is suddenly turned into!
