In a way, I am sometimes glad that I do not own a car. It may be inconvenient sometimes even though I can use the family car because it is unlike OWNING my own car.
However, fuel price just rose by 41% today and that totally freaks me out. There is no point having a car but dare not drive it because of the escalating fuel price! Did you know that since 2004 when we had a change of leadership, our petrol price has already rose almost 100% while diesel rose by an approximately 230%!
And that is not all. Car owners here have to pay road tax and toll fees. Let's not forget about car insurance and maintenance too. And for many of my friends, they have the burden of monthly installments to meet as well.
All these sums will add up and we have to be careful with our expenditure. We were even told to change our lifestyle. Hopefully, things will be better soon!
