As an online seller for the past three years, I have come to realize how heavily dependent on the internet I am. I may have a back up broadband line but when the main one goes down, or even just acts up, I am so stressed out.
You see, every little activity that relates to my store requires a reliable internet connect and most of my communication with my buyers and suppliers are via email and that needs an internet connection as well.
Off course, I could list a few "offline" activities too like photographing my stocks but that is a fast job and after editing the photos, I would have to upload them to my store. Otherwise, who would know that I have stuff for sale, right?
And then there are my listings on eBay and Lelong. Those require a steady internet connection as well. The timing out just drives me up the wall when my signal drops. I don’t work as well by using my current back up line because even though my package is faster, the speed just seems slower. I think I will have to get myself yet another line.
