New Years always bring changes and eBay UK is not any different. I remember writing about changes that will be implemented on eBay UK beginning January 2009 and true enough, a notification has been issued regarding chnages that will be implemented on these policies:
Duplicate listings policy
Retirement of old search
My eBay update
Item details page update
Postage & packaging policy
It is not certain if eBay plans to bring forth these changes to other eBay marketplaces in the coming months or not, testing ground with eBay UK but I guess we have to brace ourselves for changes, whether they benefit us or not.
As you know, if you would like to continue with eBay, you need to play by their rules, good or bad, but I guess, right now, it is still too early to tell how these changes will affect each individual seller who trades on eBay UK.
Perhaps a week or two into February, 2009, we will start receiving feedback on these changes and will know for sure if they bring positive or negative effects.
