Children Selling Old Toys For New

Enterprising children is the United States are pestering their mothers to help them sell off their old toys and games on eBay and Craigslist to get ahold of some cash so that they could buy their own Christmas gifts, or maybe even for their younger siblings.

Yes, times are so lean now that parents have to turn down the request for expensive children's games and toys from their children because other things like household bills, medical expenses and schooling have risen drastically over the past few months. Some of these parents have lost their jobs too.

While it may be cruel for the kids to have to part with some of their old belongings, it's good training in personal finance too, I think. Besides, other parents who are not able to afford new gifts for their own children could head over to eBay or Craigslist for used gifts at a fraction of the cost of buying it new at retail stores.

As luck would have it for these children, electonic items are one of the most sought after products on eBay and they have a pretty high resale value. As long as these children sellers are willing to let go of them at a reasonable price, I don't think it would be too difficult to offload their possessions.
