If you have ever wondered what the hottest selling items on eBay are, wonder no more. eBay has just released a list of items that sold the most during the period of 1st January till 15th October, 2008. These are the items and related items that were transacted the most in 2008 and these results were taken from listings that included the following keywords in all categories. Total value of these items that were transacted was not calculated.

Nintendo Wii - 2.05 million items
Xbox 360 - 1.29 million items
Apple's new iPod Touch - 281,361 items
Apple iPhone 3G - 212,837 items
Pop Culture
Miley "Hannah Montana" Cyrus - 223,139 items
Barack Obama - 111,546 items
Madonna - 96,511 items.
"The Dark Knight" Batman movie - 60,484 items
Britney Spears - 32,966 items
Sarah Palin - 20,712 items
Michael Phelps - 13,350 items
For some of these items, they are currently still popular like Barack Obama memorabilia but Michael Phelps items, for example, will not be as hot as they were during Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
