I don't know if this is getting more and more common in view of the weaker economic situation but many of my friends, who are fellow online sellers have been complaining that they are getting more and more orders unpaid for. Some of their auctions on eBay and Lelong were also not paid and they blame it on the economy.
Somehow, people tend to change their mind so fast now between winning an auction or placing an order and making payment for it. LOL Somehow, tightening their purse strings, they have forgotten that winning a bid on an online auction is like a contract to purchase.
While my friends are pissed off to have to deal with such people and wasting time cancelling their orders after giving a decent amount of time to pay up, they also do understand that times are hard and that everyone is trying not to spend unnecessarily.
Luckily, I personally haven’t seen an increase in such incidents. I too would get pissed off. LOL
