eBay has confirmed that they will be announcing a new dispute process, which aims at making it easier for buyers to dispute their purchase on eBay. Although further information is not available yet at this time of writing, it looks to me like eBay will, if the buyer is found to be in favour of the buyer like most of the cases so far, take it into their own hands to refund buyer from Seller's account, without waiting for the Seller to refund.
This sounds like a highly risky policy for Sellers. We are already on the losing end if we are unable to proof that delivery of the item has been made, as you know, some buyers could be rather cheeky and claim that the item never arrived and what not, and now it looks like our finances will even be meddled with!
Frankly, I don't even know what to think of this. Let's just wait for the official announcement where more details will be provided.
