Craigslist & eBay Banned Michael Jackson Memorial Service Ticket Sale

When I first read that Michael Jackson public memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, USA, would only be open to ticket holders, as a form of crowd control, I was worried there would be unscrupulous lucky non-fans who managed to get hold of the tickets who would try to profit off the death of Michael Jackson by selling the tickets online.

True enough, ticket holders already flocked eBay and Craigslist with their tickets, which in actual fact are not tickets but just verification codes to be entered on the website of Ticketmaster.com and which are then picked up in L.A. itself.

These tickets, two per lucky winner, were sold up to US$7,500 each (or US$15,000 per pair) on eBay and Craigslist but luckily, these companies managed to remove listings of them before any sale could be concluded. Thankfully!
