This is just awesome, I tell you. Tanner Sandlin of Austin, Texas, read an article on how old video games are fetching obscene sums of money on eBay auctions that he remembered he had a copy of an old Atari game called Air Raid which he found in his garage and decided to put up on the auction block. The game, with its original box, finally closed at US$31,600 earlier this week. Atari was huge in the 1980s and many of my middle class friends owned a set at home like how kids these days own a PSP or Wii.
Reading all these stories about people selling their rare games for such high prices, I could just kick someone for my parents' stand on not getting us Atari when we were kids then. They thought that video games were bad for kids and would affect our studies. Well, probably but they WILL get a heart attack if they know how much these old video games are sold!
