My neighbor has invited us to the birthday party of her grandson. She loves this boy exceptionally because he is her first grandchild. Let's face it, no matter how parents and grandparents deny that they are biased towards the children and grandchildren, they can't help it since they are humans after all.
Anyway, as I was wondering what sort of gift that I should buy, she told me that she will buy gold coins for him as the value will increase by the time the boy reaches 18. I wonder how many gold coins she is planning to buy. Perhaps that's what she will buy yearly!
Now that she has given me an idea, perhaps that's what I could buy for him too. I actually think that's a very good idea to invest for the future for him. Gold coins may not be what he is looking forward to on his birthday but he will surely appreciate it when he is older!
