eBay UK has a new eBay for Charity feature that allows eBay users to support their favourite charitable organization every time they buy or sell on eBay. This month of September, to celebrate the launch of 'My Favourite Charity', eBay is awarding grants of up to £5,000 to top three charities that receive the most votes from eBay users as their favourite charities in the month of September. This feature is only open to UK residents who are at least 18 years old and are registered with eBay UK.
I think this is a great feature as eBay users get to support their favourite charities while doing their usual shopping or trading on eBay, without additional effort or extra expenses. I hope that eBay will introduce something similar in all eBay marketplaces, including eBay Malaysia. Charities around the world certainly needs financial support but we need the to do so through proper channels.
