A Romanian, who is accused for massive phishing attempt against eBay in 2009, has been arrested by Romanian police with assistance of U.S. Secret Service officers in Romania and Italy.
In this said attempt to phish against eBay, Liviu Mihail Concioiu, is said to have gained, or attempted to gain access to database of eBay employees, stealing company documents and files and other applications within the eBay system. Liviu Mihail Concioiu is also accused of fraudulently used ATM cards to withdraw EUR300,000 from banks in Italy.
Using the internet is never save. A friend once told me that if you want to be save from all these frauds, viruses and Trojans, unplug the computer but that's just not the real solution. As a user of the computer, we just need to be extremely careful. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.
