Underestimating Time Required To Run An Online Store

A few of my friends who plan to run their own online store, whether a real webstore or a blog shop, told me that they have underestimated the time required to run an online store. I guess they have seen how many hours I put in, especially in the early days. I wanted to create trust among my buyers since I was one of the first to set up an online store in Malaysia before blogshops came about.

Actually, they are not the only people to think so. Many people think that it's just a matter of a few clicks but it defonitely is more than that. You'd need to do thorough market research first, then procurement, then setting up an online store and that requires some comparison work between webhosts, and then you'd need to put everything online then only start promoting. With promotion comes sales, hopefully, and they would mean even more work, this time they would have to take into account demands of customers.

Oh well, the list of tasks to do is endless, actually, but if you love your job, it wouldn't be a chore, right?
