Despite the global price increase of fuel, the Malaysian government has decided to keep the pump price for RON95, the more widely used fuel, at RM1.90 although this would mean a higher subsidy than what had been allocated.
This is a good move as it helps us maintain our cost of living. Any higher and it would be a heavier burden for most of us. However, how long can the government continue to shoulder this increase in fuel prices worldwide? Is it going to be just an election move to make them more popular?
