A friend shared a video with a few people recently. He told me that not everyone could open the video. He asked for my advice, and I suggested he let his friends know that they should download vlc, as this player could play most videos without a problem.
I used to face similar problems whereby either the video wouldn't play at all or there is no audio. Worse is if the video and audio are out of sync. Since using this all-round player, I have solved most of my video woes.
