Many of my friends are feeling the financial pinch, even those who draw a good, steady monthly salary. Although they claim they did not change their lifestyle, they are still feeling as if they can no longer spend on little luxuries. In fact, many are not able to save for the rainy day. 

To further cut down on expenses, my friends and I am consciously shopping for only things that we need. We no longer have our credit cards with us when we go shopping, and there is little cash. This way, even though we are tempted to make a purchase, we will think multiple times.
