eBay released this list of top five strangest items ever sold on eBay, in its history, and truth be told, these are not that strange, or unique, to me, at all. 

No. 1 F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet (2004) 

No. 2 Britney Spear's Hair (2007) 

No. 3 Original Hollywood sign (2005) 

No. 4 New Zealand (2006) 

No. 5 Group of four men from Australia to spend the weekend with the promise of "beer, snacks, and a [heck] of a lot of laughs." (2007) 

And it is not a surprised that out of these five items, only numbers three and five were successfully sold. Number one did not sell, whilst number two did not have the consent of the owner (of the hair). And, you cannot sell a country that you do not own (No. 4).
