eBay has removed some 30 items listed by a Ukrainian-born man in Canada who says he is a historian and selling the items to fund book projects.
Although eBay restricts the selling of Nazi-related items, the seller managed to list these items for sale, including an Auschwitz uniform of a Polish baker who died in the camp.
eBay also issued an apology and has pledged to donate US$40,000 to charity. The company, which dedicates thousands of staff to monitor listings, claimed to have failed to live up to their own standards.
